Would it be possible to build a site pretty much identical to Twitter using Drupal?

The basic concept is micro-blogging. 150 character "blog posts" without titles aggregated on each users page. How would you go about making this?

My Dad says "Weird Al Yankovic is a master of social commentary" (whatever that means!). He thinks that "White and Nerdy" is really funny. I don't get it, but I liked the lego version, which I've put below.
People think this video is so funny, they've actually made TWO lego versions (The one above is the better of the two. You can find the other by watching this one). I've also put the original video below, along with a couple of other Yankovic videos that my dad thinks are funny.

This one is funny because they are all palindromes (spelled the same backwards and forwards, like "Bob" or "A man, a plan -- Panama!". Here's the original "Subterranean Homesick Blues" From Bob Dylan, for reference:
